Philip Winograd



Obituary

Philip Winograd, 96, of Hancock, Maine, died December 6, 2009, surrounded by his loving family. He was born in the Bronx to Sigmund and Sadie Winograd. Mr. Winograd served in the Army Air Corps during WW II. He had a long career as a manager of apartment buildings in the Bronx.

Surviving are his sister Helen Geiger, age 99, of Mitchellville, Md.; daughters Deborah F. Winograd (Clyde Tyndale) of Falmouth, Mass., and Abigail D. Winograd of Amenia, N.Y.; stepson Eric R. Blume (Sindhu Hirani Blume) and grandchildren Ilse Blume and Rohan Ericson Philip Blume of Bethesda, Md.; and stepdaughter Lydia C. Blume (Larry Eytel) and granddaughter Sophia Eytel of York, Maine.

Graveside service Thursday December 10, 2009, 10:30 a.m., Mount Ararat Cemetery, Farmingdale, N.Y. A memorial service will be held Thursday, December 10, 2009, 1:00 p.m., Temple Beth Shalom, 740 N. Broadway, Hastings-on-Hudson, NY 10706. Memorial donations to Hancock County Democratic Committee, Sierra Club, or Israel Endowment Funds appreciated.
