Over 100 Dems gathered at the Lucerne Inn in Dedham for the March 10, 2007 Ruth Moss Night. Congressman Michaud and Governor Baldacci, shown here with HC Commissioner Fay Lawson, were on hand to honor Ruth Moss and the 2007 Democracy Award winners. The crowd enjoyed appetizers and animated conversations.

Sen. Dennis Damon, one of the Ruth Moss Night hosts, with John Steed, who recorded video of the event for Ruth Moss. HCDC Chair John Knutson chats with a guest. Heather Martin-Zboray received a surprise tribute in gratitude for her work as HCDC Coordinator.
Heather was presented with a cast iron donkey bootjack. Dexter Bellows presented the 2007 Democracy Awards to Margaret Knutson and Jean Devereux. This perpetual plaque will be displayed at HCDC Headquarters.
Margaret Knutson (l) was recognized for her work behind the scenes on databases, while Jean Devereux (r) received the award in appreciation for her service as HQ receptionist during the '06 campaign. Jean and Margaret also received certificates and photos of Ruth Moss with the Governor. The Ruth Moss Society Democracy Award. The Maine granite base was designed and donated by Mark Herrington of Franklin Workshops.
